The mission of the Hospitality & Follow-up Ministry is to welcome new attendees, create a personal relationship that allows for comfortable conversation about our church, and prays with new members and new believers and to walk alongside them and encourage them to get connected into the church's many opportunities to learn and to serve.
Meeting after each of the Sunday services, the team receives new people and ensures that they are greeted warmly, and are treated to refreshment provided by volunteers of the ministry. It's an amazing blessing to be the face of our church for these new friends, and an honor to share the tremendous opportunities available to people through OHC's varied ministries.
The department is also responsible for organizing and planning a Visitor's Day every quarter as an evangelism arm. Through this ministry the church averages of about 16 visitors every Sunday. About 15 per cent of these joined OHC as new members.
