Prayer & Deliverance
How we serve
"My heart is broken. Will you pray for me? "My dad is having surgery tomorrow. Please pray for the doctors, for dad and for all of our family." "I need a job." "I'm so scared. I'm having a major exam and I need prayer."
- "My heart is broken. Will you pray for me? "My dad is having surgery tomorrow. Please pray for the doctors, for dad and for all of our family." "I need a job." "I'm so scared. I'm having a major exam and I need prayer."
- This is an example of the variety of prayer requests we receive through the prayer request box. A prayer chain is available during and after church hours to provide comfort, hope and encouragement. Those who have been asked to serve on it are church members who have proven over time their love and concern for others.
- Prayer chain members understand the importance of confidentiality. To guarantee this, each person calling in for prayer is asked first by the prayer chain head if the prayer request may be shared with the church staff and the rest of the chain.
- Sometimes the answer is "No "so the initial prayer receiver prays privately with the caller. All yes requests are shared with the staff and the prayer chain as soon as possible. With permission, prayer requests can be put in the church bulletin. As often as possible, prayer requests are followed up by a call back.
- Beyond personal prayer, members of the prayer ministry gather every evening Monday to Friday from 7:00 to 9:00pm to intercede for the Body of Christ and the nation. The Prayer team has approximately 50 intercessors that meet and pray for church and the ministry. We conduct prayer walks every quarter in key areas within our community and the city of Kampala. It's a privilege serving the congregation and our community through.
